Ingredients for cake
1 package (18 ounces) dark chocolate cake mix
1 package (¾ ounces) instant chocolate pudding
1 cup sour cream
1½ cup chocolate chips
½ cup oil
½ cup water
Ingredients for Chocolate Glaze
1 cup whipping cream
8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions: Preheat oven to 350° F.
Except for the chocolate chips, beat the cake ingredients f
or 4 minutes. Fold in chocolate chips. Place batter into a greased and floured Bundt pan and bake for 50 – 60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Make the chocolate glaze while the cake is baking.
Scald whipping cream in heavy saucepan over high heat. Add chocolate chips and vanilla and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir until all chocolate is melted. Refrigerate glaze for 10 minutes.
Set cake on platter. Pour glaze over top of cake after the cake is cooled. Alternative to the glaze is tosift powdered sugar on top of cake right before serving.
